Red is not dead! That's right, I said it.

Red is alive and well!

From the bright rouge painted on a woman's lips to the fire engine red tips of her fingers, red is here for the long run. This Color Red Fashion Bonanza is dedicated to all things red.

Red is not a fashion faux-pas, it is a fashion to-do! And whether you're adding that splash of red to brighten up your ensemble or your daringly "red" sexy dress, you just can't go wrong with red!

So follow me down the red carpet for some stylish red looks that are trendy and hot right now like this chic-looking tunic from Cbazaar.

The Color Red

Red symbolizes many things: love, hate, danger, life (blood) and a host of other things. From Dorothy's ruby red slippers to Emma Stone's luscious red lips, red is outrageous, daring and provocative.

Red also equates with power, hence "the red carpet" or those glaringly bright red ties you see higher-ups wearing in the office. Red is also an international color recognized for stop signs, stop lights and ambulances. What other color can embrace Cupids' heart and the Devils' wrath at the same time?

So, when you're wearing red, be aware that all eyes will definitely be on you - and that's just the way it should be!

Red Across the World

Red means different things in different parts of the world as well. In India, for example, red is the symbolic color of marriage. In fact, most brides will wear red sarees or red lehengas to their weddings. Even at other wedding celebrations, red is a widely accepted color worn by eastern women.

In China, red symbolizes "Good Luck" and is especially prevalent during the Chinese New Year. Brightly colored red dragons, lanterns and clothing are donned by all.

In the Western part of the world, red symbolizes passion, romance, and of course, love. Men give beautiful long-stemmed red roses to the girl they've got their eyes on!

Using Red Accesories

If you're not daring enough to step out in an all-red saree or any all-red outfit, why not incorporate red into your accessories? Accessories are a must-have to any woman's outfit. They include hats, purses, watches and, my favorite, jewelry!

A little bit of red is all you need to highlight your attire, even if you just throw on some red lipstick, some red earrings or paint your toes red. It's all good! Little swatches of red here and there can liven up a dull outfit, call attention to desirable areas of your body and looks fabulous. Check out some of these awesome accessories and try some with your outift the next time you're stepping out.

Color...of the Red Variety

Red, to me always looks best in different shades. Deep, dark reds mixed with black, grey or white are stunningly beautiful and allow the wearer to still make a statement in red without going overboard.

This red, silk salwar suit is a great example of how to wear a classy and sophisticated red outfit. It's modern and contemporary, while at the same time elegant and suitable to wear at home, the office or painting the town red with friends! This wears nicely with a pair of red heels and red accessories.
